The altered photo depicts the student tearing up the constitution.

It seems nothing exempts someone from being the target of internet trolls and bullies. This is especially true in the case of Emma Gonzalez, one of the survivors of the Parkland school shooting and one of the students at the forefront of the #NeverAgain movement.

After already being called a "skinhead lesbian," Gonzalez has now been made the target of a Photoshop hoax making its rounds on social media. During a recent Teen Vogue photoshoot, Gonzalez, who is also president of her school's Gay Straight Alliance, was photographed and recorded tearing up gun targets similar to those used at shooting ranges.

In an edited version of the photo, Gonzalez is washed out with pronounced dark circles under her eyes, tearing up a copy of the United States constitution. While both sides of the aisle were understandably upset about the photo before it was debunked, NRA supporters were quick on the offensive. Twitter user @LeighStewy posted the photo with the caption: "I'm interested to hear what US citizens think of this photo where Emma Gonzalez is ripping up The Constitution?" and let the replies roll in, even refusing to address the photo's validity after it was revealed to be a fake.
