Justice For Eyricka King Rally Planned in NYC
Organizers hope to engage the Department of Corrections about the trans woman's treatment.
Earlier this week, we reported that Eyricka King, the trans woman whose viral letter described her abuse inside New York's Franklin Correctional Facility, has been released from solitary confinement. Now, a rally has been planned in New York City to demonstrate to the department of Corrections that this kind of maltreatment of trans prisoners will not be tolerated.

The rally's organizers are providing free shuttle service from New York City to Albany, where the department of Corrections is housed. There, they hope to "peacefully speak to NY corrections about the condition and treatment of Eyricka King." The free bus will meet at Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Building in Harlem at 8 AM Monday morning.
The rally has a hashtag, #Jusss4Eyricka, which can be followed for updates about the rally.
