Police in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, are reporting that Jamie Lee Wounded Arrow, 28, a local Two-Spirit woman, was the victim of a homicide.

The Sioux Falls Two-Spirit and Allies organization mourned Wounded Arrow's death on their Facebook page.
Wounded Arrow could be 2017's second killing of a transgender woman, discovered in just a matter of days after the year's first killing. On Wednesday, transgender woman Mesha Caldwell was found dead in Madison County, Mississippi, and the local coroner ruled her death a homicide.
