St Andrews, Scotland is famous for many reasons. It's the setting for the third oldest university in the English speaking world, it's the birthplace of golf, and it's the place where Prince William and Kate Middleton met and fell in love. Now there's a new addition to that illustrious list, as last week it saw a truly Scottish showdown between a homophobe and a young bagpiper.
A man on a megaphone was standing in the center of the town reportedly denouncing marriage equality as bringing financial ruin to the country (his words are hard to understand in the video) when a young boy with a bagpipe came to drown out his hate. People in the streets erupted into applause, just as a police car arrived.
