Meet openly gay NY State Senator Brad Hoylman, who sponsored a conversion therapy ban for minors that was introduced into the New York State Senate.
In part three of Vice's investigative series into "gay conversion therapy," they travel NY State Senator Brad Hoylmanm who discusses the importance of the legislation to protect minors, saying, "Being born gay or straight, is innate. And there's certainly nothing wrong with it, and nothing that needs to be fixed."
Vice also returns to Journey Into Manhood, where the founders and counselors talk about why conversion therapy retreats like theirs should be allowed to exist. The documentary ends with a compilation of video testimonials from conversion therapy survivors, who share their harrowing experiences with the practice.
