RuPaul is set to release a brand-new album of original songs, entitles Black Butta, on January 6, 2023. The two lead singles of the album were released on Friday, November 4: "Star Baby" and the holiday bop "Show Me That You Festive."

Black Butta is RuPaul's 15th studio album and follows 2022's Mamaru - which featured Drag Race favorites such as "Blame It on the Edit," "Just What They Want," "Catwalk," "Smile," and "Who Is She?"

Though an official release date for RuPaul's Drag Race season 15 is still not confirmed, it is noteworthy that RuPaul typically releases her new albums around the time that regular seasons of Drag Race premiere on VH1.

In 2020, Drag Race season 13 premiered on January 1 and Ru released the You're a Winner, Baby album on January 10. In 2021, Drag Race season 14 premiered on January 7, and the Mamaru album came out on that same date.

The release date for Black Butta - January 6, 2023 - is a Friday, so who knows! Perhaps we'll be getting new music from Mama Ru along with season 15 of Drag Race on that very same date.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK season four currently airs Thursdays on WOW Presents Plus.
