Troye Sivan and Charli XCX Are Throwing a Pride Festival

Go West Fest will pop off June 6 in Los Angeles with Quay Dash, Pussy Riot, and more.

Some of us don't want to go back to 1999, as fun as it was to see Charli XCX as Rose from Titanic, mainly because the turn of the century didn't have a brand new Pride music festival curated by certified gay icons XCX and pop's favorite twink, Troye Sivan. That's right, ladies, your two favorite underground pop princesses -- yeah, I'm looking at you Miss Sivan -- have just announced the inaugural Go West Fest celebrating Pride this summer. The festival will pop off June 6 in Los Angeles at The Wiltern.

The duo, who released their hit nostalgia duet "1999" last year, have "been working on this for months and I'm soooooo stoked to share this with you," Sivan wrote while announcing the festival on Twitter, adding that it will feature a "fucking sickening" lineup of artists including himself, XCX, Carlie Hanson, Chika, DJ Alima Lee, DJ Baby Uniq, DJ Ko Koala, Dorian Electra, Gia Gunn, Leland, Pussy Riot, and Quay Dash.

"A new kind of pride festival curated by me n [XCX] that celebrates the inclusivity, artistry, music, kinks, merchants, and creativity of the LGBTQ community, while really giving back to our community" as the entire festival "benefits GLAAD and local organisations." Go West's sponsor, Bud Light, will sell special Pride bottles that will benefit GLAAD.

Go West Fest will celebrate Pride June 6 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale Friday May 7, get them here.
