Carly Rae Jepsen has been teasing the prospect of a new album, her followup to 2016's E*MO*TION, for months, and today it seems she's let slip some lyrics from the new record.
"When you move it's like a disco darling--all my dreams come true," Jepsen wrote in the bio of her Instagram. Since those phrases would be a bit odd to say outside the context of a song, we can only assume these are the words to our forthcoming new anthem of love.
Jepsen has teased that the new album will take heavy influence from the genre of disco. She told the Vancouver Sun: "I can't explain what we're doing right now, but we're very much into disco-y things, whatever this next album may or may not turn out to be," and mentioned she took heavy reference from ABBA and the Bee Gees.
We also know that she's been in the studio with The Knocks and Jack Antonoff, and done some work with Danny L Harle of PC Music.
