Little Monsters are eating well tonight: Lady Gaga scored her fifth number-one album this week as the A Star is Born soundtrack debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. The soundtrack is Gaga’s fifth consecutive number-one album and puts her in the lead for the most number-one albums by a female artist this decade. A Star is Born joins the pantheon of Gaga's greatest hits: Born This Way (2011), ARTPOP (2013), Cheek to Cheek (2014) and Joanne (2016). Everyone else on the charts is asking, "Why did you do that do that do that do that do that do that to me?""
The A Star is Born soundtrack also earned the highest album-sales week for a music film soundtrack since the Frozen soundtrack in 2014. A Star is Born also received the biggest week for a soundtrack since 2015's Fifty Shades of Grey album. Alexa, play "Shallow" by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, it's time to celebrate.
