SOPHIE Cancels a String of Tour Dates to Focus On New Music

Alternative pop star SOPHIE announced this week that she is canceling a string of tour dates in order to focus on new music. In a post on her Instagram, the electronic music producer and enigmatic pop act said that she'll no longer visit Oslo, Copenhagen, Antwerp, Stockholm, Bologna and Paris, as well as canceling her controversial show in Tel Aviv. "This was a difficult decision for me to make," she writes, "but I have done so to focus my energies on producing the best music and putting on the best performances I can. In order for me to do this I require more studio time which can then hopefully allow me to give the performances I believe my fans want and deserve in all of these places around the world."

SOPHIE then goes on to apologize to fans who will no longer get to see her and assure them they'll be issued refunds. She ends with a postscript: "I'm not going to rehab."
