Busy Philipps Stars in Grizzly Bear's Bizarre 'Losing All Sense' Video

Grizzly Bear

David Lynch meets the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Grizzly bear released today a bizarre new video for their Painted Ruins highlight, "Losing All Sense," following visuals for songs "Neighbors" and "Mourning Sound."

The band, led by queer frontman Ed Droste, recruited Busy Philipps (Freaks and Geeks, Dawson's Creek) to star in the Cody Critcheloe-directed clip. In the video, she's soaking wet and joins a group of surreal women for dinner. Shots of Droste and gender nonbinary actress Freckle singing as a lounge act are spliced in, before it's revealed that Philipps is actually part of a chaotic, sleazy reality show.

Describing the video as a "dichotomy," Droste told Dazed the video is "like David Lynch meets the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills meets Heathers or something. It's kind of campy and dark and surreal." Watch, below.
