Kesha bares it all on her comeback album, Rainbow, which follows the artist's long, tumultuous fight against her alleged assaulter Dr. Luke. From the piano-led power-ballad "Praying" to the queer-friendly title track, Kesha's new LP is at once fragile and fierce--a rare, relatable intimacy that reaches new heights on the Japanese bonus track, "Emotional."

"God I'm only human/ Trying to face it all," Kesha wails, above glistening synth-pop production, as she reflects on entering rehab in 2014. "I started losing my mind," she admits. "I ended up in rehab/ I don't want to cry/ But people can be so mean/ And I don't understand why/ And when they say I can't sing/ I just want to die."
The pop star sings about feeling trapped by achieving her wildest dreams and the love of her life leaving her for his new wife. "Stab me right in the heart with a fucking knife," she screams, begging for an answer on when the pain will get better, if ever. "I'm trying so hard not to break down," she continues.
