Protest-pop artist ANOHNI is gearing up to release her PARADISE EP, out March 17 via Secretly Canadian/Rough Trade. After sharing in January the project's title track--an existential rally cry for resistance--ANOHNI released today the official music video, featuring artist and model Eliza Douglas.

The contemplative clip focuses primarily on Douglas' face, as "she moves through reflections of different images of paradise, including archival footage from Paradise Garage," according to director Colin Whitake. "Hopelessness sinks into the earth," she lip-synchs, while driving in a car, as surreal, distorted clips of nature fade in and out.

ANOHNI's forthcoming PARADISE EP is a six-track effort made in collaboration with electronic producers Oneohtrix Point Never and Hudson Mohawke. It was created "to support activist conversations and disrupt assumptions about popular music through the collision of electronic sound and highly politicized lyrics."
Earlier this year, the Best British Female Artist nominee teamed up with CocoRosie to create an anti-Trump protest anthem, "Smoke 'Em Out," which they released to coincide with the Women's March on Washington.
