Announcing the release of her Art Angels visual, Grimes, who directed the video herself, wrote that "sometimes it feels futile to be making art in this cruel and extreme political climate, but some of the brightest moments of the last few months for me and for a lot of you, I suspect, have come from seeing Janelle Monae's amazing and positive vision of the future, especially when we are being introduced to say many possible dystopian futures."
We're certainly getting dystopian vibes from the moody teaser, which features Grimes and Janelle Monae in armored looks with flaming swords. Watch the dramatic clip, below, ahead of its official online premiere February 2.
