“My chains, they come falling down, down.”
Kelela's "Blue Light" video, out today, sees the singer-songwriter stripped bare by her own, sentient hair, until she wears nothing but her dreadlocks in an intricate web of hair. The stunning video is directed by Helmi.
"Blue Light" comes ahead of the premiere of Kelela's short film, ALL IT TOOK, debuting at the New Museum in New York City on November 12. The video first aired earlier today on BET Soul and BET Her.
"Baby, keep the blue light on," she croons in the song. "My chains, they come falling down, down."
