Celine Dion accepted the Icon Award with an emotional speech in dedication to her late husband, Rene Angelil, at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards.
The singer was brought to tears when her 15-year-old son, Rene-Charles, was called onstage to present her with the award. She held his hand and kept him by her side as she thanked music execs, fans, family, and said, "Most importantly, my beloved husband who I know will continue to watch over me from up above."
The acceptance speech followed a powerful performance of Queen's "The Show Must Go On," a fitting tribute for her husband, who died from throat cancer this January at 73.
"Rene, this one's for you," Dion said at the conclusion of her speech. "The show must go on."
