International showgirl and RuPaul's Drag Race alum Courtney Act is back with a new single and video, "Kaleidoscope," written by Act and singer/songwriter Sam Sparro. "Kaleidoscope" celebrates the possibilities of love through the age-old boy meets girl tale--with a twist.
Courtney Act (nee Shane Jenek) identifies as gender fluid and so the video finds her meeting and falling for a skater girl while in drag. They have a gorgeous day at the beach, live their best lives, and do a little tongue-wrestling by the ocean.
"I love creating stories that push limits. I aim to confuse," Act said. "Having identified as a gay man most of my adult life, the last few years I have realized that both my sexuality and gender are fluid. This has been so liberating for me because I never fit into the binary of man/women or gay/straight anyway."
"Kaleidoscope" is off Act's EP of the same name, available here.

The song is also the official theme of the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras 2016, for which Act was recently named the Global Ambassador.
"I feel more comfortable existing in the grey area and I encourage anyone who feels like the status quo doesn't represent them to join me," Courtney added. "You may feel broken or separate but when you look through a kaleidoscope, suddenly all of those broken bits and pieces create a beautiful image."
