Fans of Icelandic electronic band GusGus take note: Founding member Stephan Stephensen, a.k.a. President Bongo, is ready to blow your mind with his solo album, Serengti.

President Bongo, a.k.a. Stephan Stephensen, likes to refer to himself as "an emotional carpenter," and over the years he's built, shaped, and reconstructed reality in a manner that has touched upon the emotional spheres of thousands. Stephensen is one of the founding members of Icelandic outfit GusGus, and now he's pursuing his own projects. With Serengeti, his first solo album, he's ventured into an African landscape with an epic, atmospheric, and dazzling new album.

The gorgeous 17-minute video--produced by the Snorri Bros--blends ancient imagery with modern visual effects for something that is both sexy and seductive and terrifying and mythic. Imagine if the night desert was transported to outerspace and had a tribal beat.

Oh, and on a side note: It turns out, President Bongo also occasionally works under the name President Penis, as he explained it: "I use President Penis when my homosexual side is overwhelming. President Bongo is 56% gay, so it's always a short way to President Penis."

Serengeti is available on Amazon and iTunes. Watch the epic video below:
