The documentary, which has already taken home the Grand Jury Prize at the Indianapolis LGBT Film Festival and Best Documentary Feature at the Newark Film Festival, centers around eight different performers in Columbus and their respective troupes, illuminating the unexpectedly vibrant and diverse drag scene of this Midwestern town.
Kings, Queens, and In-Betweens is produced by Five Sisters Productions, comprised of the five real-life Burton sisters, who have had their work presented on such platforms as Netflix, Logo and MTV. The doc has been a passion project six years in the making, coming to select theaters on March 3 before becoming available on VOD March 7.
