Sarah Jessica Parker Teases Third Sex & The City Movie
"I will say that the idea, it rests in the butler's pantry," SJP told CBS's Jane Pauley. "It's not on the table, but somebody is holding it fairly nearby."

Last Sunday, in an interview for CBS with Jane Pauley, Sarah Jessica Parker went from "no" to "fairly nearby" on the idea of a third Sex & the City movie.
Last May, SJP confirmed that there were "no plans" for a third film. But while there's nothing immediate in the works, she thinks another installment in the SATC franchise is not far off.
"I will say that the idea, it rests in the butler's pantry," she said. "It's not on the table, but somebody is holding it fairly nearby."
It's clear that SJP is not ready to put Carrie behind her forever.
"One can't help but picture a Golden Girls kind of version of Sex and the City," Pauley said to her during the interview. "Now you're looking back on your lives. If you're inclined to be looking back on your lives at all, or are you still looking forward?"
"I would have sort of imagined that those women have only interest in looking ahead, while being informed by the past," the actress countered. "And in a way, maybe that would be the best for all of us--living people, nonfictional as well!"
