Mink Stole Talks Tennessee Williams & Her Upcoming Album

"I don't understand this play," Mink Stole admits when asked about her current role in the production of Now the Cats With Jewelled Claws at La MaMa in New York City's East Village. "As an actor I have to let go... and it also requires that the audience also let's go."

Don't expect classic Williams: The one-act is a surreal story that centers around two ladies "of a certain age" who lunch—and is more of a trippy fun time than a serious piece of dramaturgy. Directed by Jonathan Warman, Now the Cats also includes the incredible (and odd) talent of Erin Markey and Joseph Keckler (who rocks a pink "motorcycle" jacket). But aside from John Waters legend Mink Stole, the most memorable part of this later work by Williams is the bizarre talent of Everett Quinton, known for his work with the Ridiculous Theatrical Company (read The New York Times review here).

Stole also spoke to us about her singing career and upcoming album. Watch and learn from the legendary character actor in our video below.
