Shangela, Bob the Drag Queen, and Eureka are being replaced in the fourth season of We’re Here.

We’re Here season four is coming back with an all-new set of hosts.

After being hosted by Shangela, Bob the Drag Queen, and Eureka for three seasons, We’re Here has been renewed for a fourth season by HBO with new hosts Sasha Velour, Jaida Essence Hall, and Priyanka, according to a report from Variety.

Sasha Velour competed and won season nine of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Jaida Essence Hall won Drag Race season 12 and came back for the all-winners edition of All Stars 7. Priyanka is the first-ever winner of Canada’s Drag Race.

According to the report, “This season will focus on two US towns over the course of six episodes, taking an in-depth and more immersive look at the local political systems and participants, anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and opposition, and their effect on the LGBTQ+ community.”

The announcement has also been made on the official Instagram account for We’re Here. The caption reads, “New season. New queens. Same mission.”

Certain fans had been wondering if We’re Here would be renewed for a fourth season. However, there wasn’t much speculation about whether the three original hosts would be replaced.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Shangela a.k.a. Darius Jeremy “DJ” Pierce was accused in 2022 of sexual assault by a former assistant on We’re Here. This may or may not have impacted the decision to replace Shangela in the series.

Another noteworthy piece of context is that Bob the Drag Queen is currently working with Madonna to appear along her side on The Celebration Tour. Given that many US dates in the tour have been rescheduled following Madonna’s recent hospitalization, it might have become impossible for Bob to fit the filming of We’re Here season four into her schedule.

We hope that this was an amicable decision for all of the drag performers involved – and we’re excited to see Velour, Hall, and Priyanka starring in this fantastic series!

The first three seasons of We’re Here are available for streaming on Max.
