The Rocky Horror Show is taking a jump to their left and heading over to 30 Rock for a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, May 4 at 11:35 p.m. Eastern.
For the performance, the cast will be in attendance: Rachel Dratch, Andrew Durand, Luke Evans, Amber Gray, Harvey Guillén, Stephanie Hsu, Juliette Lewis, Josh Rivera, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Anania, and Boy Radio. The song they will perform has yet to be revealed.

Richard O’Brien’s outrageous rock musical is one of the most beloved shows in the queer community. It follows a newly engaged couple, Brad and Janet, who stumble upon a castle during a rainstorm. They go in for help and meet Dr. Frank-N-Furter and the Transylvanians, and chaos ensues. It went from being an underground production to a hit on London’s West End before transferring to Broadway in 1975, and was made into a film that is now considered a cult classic: The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Over the years, it has found new audiences through a number of adaptations, including being a plot point in the hit FOX series Glee, and a TV remake in 2016 starring Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Now, for the first time since 2000, the show made a grand return to the Great White Way with a new production directed by the Tony Award-winning director of Oh, Mary!, Sam Pinkleton, after officially opening on Broadway last Thursday.

In an interview with Out, Pinkleton said the show’s creator shared some wisdom with him as they were putting this new version together. “Just do it simply with good actors,” O’Brien told the director. “Just take it seriously,” and Pinkleton argues, “There’s nothing more joyous than taking glitter, corsets, jockstraps, and aliens seriously. That feels political.”
