Social media can’t stop talking about age-gap relationships, even ones between actors who are only dating on screen.
After the global success of Heated Rivalry, Off Campus is poised to take over the mantle as the internet’s newest obsession, but with that popularity comes the dreaded social media discourse.
This time, instead of Heated Rivalry fans worrying about the two lead stars dating in real life, people on the internet are debating whether it’s okay for two actors to film sex scenes together when there is a significant age gap.
This is what happened to actress Ella Bright, who is starring alongside Belmont Cameli in the wildly popular new hockey romance show Off Campus.
Bright, who is 19 in real life, has said that Cameli was completely professional during their intimate scenes after fans voiced concerns about him being nearly 10 years her senior.
In a new episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Bright addressed the discourse — and also gave fans the tea on that full-frontal nudity scene people can’t stop talking about.
“It's very funny when they … I came into this job and during the chemistry reads with more than enough information and knowledge and understanding of what this role required and the show,” Bright told host Amanda Hirsch.
“And I just fell in love with Hannah and these scripts immediately. There was never a question that I wouldn't want to do this,” she said.
Fans were shocked when they discovered that Bright was only 18 when she was filming sex scenes with Cameli, who is 28.

In the show, Bright plays college student Hannah Wells, who falls for hockey star Garrett Graham after the two hatch a plan for her to tutor him in exchange for pretending to be her boyfriend in order to lure in the hunky musician she’s crushing on.
Off Campus includes multiple sex scenes between Hannah and Garrett, including a mutual masturbation scene, but Bright reassured fans that she always felt supported on set.
“I get people's concern, but also not once did I feel, one, left out from being younger than everybody,” Bright said. “We’re all such a family and everyone was just more than perfect, and I couldn't be more comfortable on this set with these people.”
“So it is funny when they say that I'm like I'm good,” she added.
