"...we know for ceratin this piece will be the new queer wedding anthem for generations to come," said Porter.

Billy Porter and Luke Evans are getting emotional in the song booth!

For their new movie Our Son, the two actors and singers have teamed up for a beautiful new love ballad celebrating love between two men.

“Always Be My Man” is the new song from Porter and Evans, who have both starred in musicals on stage and screen. It packs a huge emotional punch and will bring tears to anyone’s eyes.

Porter announced the song on his Instagram, showing a video of him and Evans singing the song together and saying that it is available to stream everywhere.

“And while we did not make the Oscar shortlist for Best Song (and we should have) we know for certain this piece will be the new queer wedding anthem for generations to come,” Porter wrote.

“Now, for the first time in my life I know it’s love/knowing that we’re two men who dared to rise above,” they sing together in a video on Instagram. “No matter if they don’t understand/for eternity, you will always be my man.”

The song was produced by Robert Glasper, and written by Porter, Conner Reeves, and Joe Killington.

In Our Son, directed by Bill Oliver, Porter and Evans play Gabriel and Nicky, a gay couple who are struggling in their marriage while raising an eight-year-old child together. As the couple changes and goes through a divorce, they also must fight for their child and the family they have built.

Our Son isn’t the typical gay romance nor a typical gay tragedy. Instead of focusing on issues that come from coming out or homophobia, here an established gay couple deals with huge life problems and changes that anyone can go through.

The movie debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival and is currently playing in select theaters and is available on VOD.
