Transgender medicine for everybody. That’s the rule now, that’s the goal.
Look, it’s hard to bring a genuine smile to my face these days. Between dodging wildfire smoke and avoiding parasitic produce, the summer of 2026 has felt downright Biblical in a bad way. But the one thing I can rely on to make me happy are TikTok user @beateasy’s hugely popular impressions of conservative pundit Tucker Carlson as a toddler. And thanks in part to her viral success, she was able to crowdfund facial feminization surgery, which she revealed on social media this weekend in an incredibly iconic way.
But let’s back up: In case you haven’t seen this absolutely required viewing, I recommend beginning with this May video, in which Sam — @beateasy’s name, per her TikTok profile — pantomimes being a baby who questions the prohibition on swallowing pebbles: “My mommy says I can’t pick up rocks from the ground and put them in my mouth. Huh? That’s the rule now. That’s the goal. What are we doing? What’s going on?”
@beateasy don’t get him started on the nanny state

Sam’s impression is clearly based on Saturday Night Live featured player Jeremy Culhane’s take on Carlson, which he debuted in March in a viral Weekend Update desk piece about the 2026 Oscars (On Bugonia: “I guess heterosexual women aren’t allowed to have hair anymore. They shave their heads instead of their armpits. And I’m supposed to be… attracted to that?”) Culhane’s Carlson has since gone on to whine ever-so-nasally about the Met Gala (On Dwayne Johnson’s skirt: “Do you smell what the Rock is cooking? Because I do: It’s gender confusion. That’s the rule. That’s the goal now.”)
But Sam isn’t so much imitating Culhane as she is building upon the foundation the SNL star laid down. In her second Carlson video, Sam — who, for context, is a mother herself — pretends to be a toddler questioning why “leftist woke America” won’t let babies draw on the walls with crayons anymore: “Apparently self-expression is illegal now.”

And in her most widely viewed impression to date, Sam tears down the conspiracy that is bedtime: “Meanwhile, what they’re not telling you is that as soon as you fall asleep, Mommy’s sneaking into the other room to eat all the Goldfish ‘gackles’ and go on iPad.”
I had been training my algorithm to immediately show me Sam’s videos for months, which is why I was delighted to see her absolute commitment to the bit surface this past weekend. Her face still wrapped in post-surgical bandages, she posted the ultimate impression: “Tucker Carlson Gets Facial Feminization Surgery.” Once again, she unravels a conspiracy, but a real one this time: “What they don’t tell you,” she says, “is that these procedures are not covered by your insurance? What are we doing? What’s going on?”
@beateasy thank you to everyone who donated and continues to donate to my surgery fund this has been life changing 🙏

It’s true that many insurers don’t cover FFS despite major medical associations agreeing that it can be a medically necessary procedure. And no transgender person should have to perform for peanuts to get access to health care, full stop. But given our current dystopia, it’s wonderful to see someone who clowns on an avowedly anti-trans commentator getting enough money from doing so to fund her gender-affirming surgery and subsequent recovery. (Sam’s GoFundMe was launched last November, but the donation history shows that many contributions came after the viral success of her Carlson posts, with more donations continuing to pour in.)
“thank you to everyone who donated and continues to donate to my surgery fund this has been life changing,” she wrote in the caption of her latest impression.
Huh. Seems like Tucker Carlson is helping transgender mothers get the faces they need. And we’re supposed to be okay with that? Because we are.
