Mother has spoken!

There's no living legend quite like Meryl Streep. As one of the most decorated actresses of all time, she's now revisiting one of her most quoted and defining roles of her career in The Devil Wears Prada 2. That's all!

Twenty years ago, the first film premiered and changed the course of film and fashion forever. The staple movie — in which Streep portrayed Miranda Priestly, the editor in chief of a fashion magazine in the mold of Vogue's Anna Wintour — made an impact on millions of people around the world, but no community has fully embraced everything the film has to offer than the LGBTQ+ community.

In the past two decades, Priestly's iconic quotes such as, "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking," have been beloved and often repeated by queer fans. As for The Devil Wears Prada 2, Streep promises to deliver more lines that'll be referenced for years to come.

"It makes me so happy! Would we have fashion without gay people? Forgive me, would we have anything? I wouldn't know how to put together anything. It's a joy to have made it with [the LGBTQ+] community in mind. Top of mind," Streep tells Out.

The Devil Wears Prada 2, which also brings back original cast members Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, is already receiving rave reviews from critics, who praise Streep's performance and her striking beauty in some jaw-dropping looks.

"It's all the power of good lighting! I feel every one of my 76 years. I feel so lucky to be able to come back to something we did 20 years ago. Who gets to do that? We've had a whole lifetime. Look at Stanley Tucci! He's blossomed! [Emily Blunt] blossomed at birth."

For decades, Streep's impressive catalog of films such as Mamma Mia, Death Becomes Her, The Hours, Angels in America, The Prom, and so many more have brought joy, impact, and power to generations of adoring fans.

The acclaimed actress not only hopes, but knows, The Devil Wears Prada 2, which shows how these characters from the fashion and magazine worlds have been impacted by the changing media industry, will give everyone everything they could want in one of the most highly anticipated sequels in history.

"It's cross culture. We've just been around the world with this. The reaction is the same in Mexico City as Tokyo, as Seoul, as Shanghai... I honestly was surprised. I really was surprised by the universality of the response and from so many different kinds of people."

The Devil Wears Prada 2 premieres in theaters on Friday, May 1.
