This new gay movie is so Julia!
Model, actress, and it-girl Julia Fox is getting ready to star in her next film, and just like her, this one's gay.
Fox will star in the upcoming romantic dramaPerfect, where she will play a wealthy pregnant woman who begins a relationship with a younger woman.
The movie also stars Ashley Moore (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and newcomer Micaela Wittman. It is being directed by music video director Millicent Hailes in her feature film debut.
According to Variety, Perfect takes place at a "scenic-but-rundown lakeside in the California mountains in a time where climate change has contaminated the water supply," and Fox will play a wealthy pregnant woman living out an escapist fantasy who falls in love with a younger woman (Moore). "Their sudden relationship is complicated by an upcoming birth, turbulent social events, and clashing values about the world's uncertain future."
Lio Mehiel (Mutt) and Debi Mazar (Younger) are also in talks to join the cast.
Fox's breakthrough movie role came in the Safdie Brothers' Uncut Gems, for which she got several nominations for breakthrough actor awards.
She also stars in Steven Soderbergh's upcoming psychological horror film Presence alongside Lucy Liu and Chris Sullivan.
Fox came out a lesbian earlier this year, sharing a TikTok where a queer comedian joked, "I love when I see a lesbian with their boyfriend. It's like 'awww, you hate that man. You literally hate him."
Fox shared her own TikTok along with that where she said "Hey, that was me, I was that lesbian. So sorry, boys. Won't happen again."
Before that, Fox was married to Peter Artemiev and had a son with him. She then dated Kanye West for a short time.
