Daily Crush: 'Tie Break' App by Hermès

Hermès launches a new mobile app to help you find the perfect tie

French luxury brand Hermes is embracing the digital age with the launch of a new mobile app, "Tie Break." Smartly conceived, the app lets you browse the current collection of Hermes ties and scarves by scrolling through a mood board of patterns. If a design strikes your fancy, you can enlarge the pattern to try it on your shirt, and thus avoid an unfortunate missmatch.

The app also features seven mini-games, or "breaks" with animated GIFs and retro video arcade games. It also includes several modules that teaches users how to knot their tie or scarf, and purchase Hermes neckwear online. You can then shares your results on Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook.

For the spring/summer 2015 collection, a corresponding tie that goes along with the application has been created, also called "Tie Break." The tie has a bar code on the back that can be scanned with your phone and synched to the app.

The app is free and available now on Apple and Android smartphone, in French and English (Chinese is coming soon). Watch the teaser video below:
