Following on the heels of designer Raf Simons's departure from the label Jil Sander--to be replaced by its founder, Ms. Sander--whispers starting percolating Stefano Pilati would be splitting from the label Yves Saint Laurent, where he's served as creative director since 2004, after succeeding the title from Tom Ford. This is by no means the first time this bit of gossip has come up--in fact, Pilati has been plagued for three or four seasons by these rumors, but WWD is reporting that Pilati is officially out at the French label, and now there is speculation that Hedi Slimane will replace him. Designers, watch your backs!
