Metro World News has hired the plucky (if a little green) journalist Karl Lagerfeld to step in as guest editor for a day. He took a break from his duties, though, to share his thoughts on some current events and, per usual, he was far from coy. When quizzed on his opinion of singer Lana del Rey, Lagerfeld said: "I prefer Adele and Florence Welch. But as a modern singer she is not bad. The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice." Wow, the question had nothing to do with Adele or her looks, and yet he brought it to her weight, of all things. And that was hardly the only eyebrow-raising quotable he gave--he also chimed in on Mr. and Mrs. Obama, M.I.A. flipping the bird during the Super Bowl halftime show, the Queen's Jubilee, and how he thinks Russian men are ugly.
