Grammy-winning artist Jess Glynne has a lot of love for the LGBTQ+ community. Known for her anthems of self-empowerment and love, Jess provides a melodic experience that deeply resonates with the people in her community that she holds dear. And now sheās bringing that power to Planet Prideās one-day event.
Planet Pride features three stages and 12-non-stop hours of entertainment, featuring performances from Gorgon City, Gareth Emery and Jess among others. The Pride event of the season has it all from 500,000 Watts of world-class sound to 300 moving lights and 20 lasers. It will also feature a mix of musical acts, drag shows, DJ sets and performance artists. The event is also produced by the trailblazing king of nightlife, Jake Resnicow along with Ty Sunderland.
And with a superstar of a surprise guest promised for the event, it was no wonder why Jess wanted to be a part of the event that benefits FEMME House, the nonprofit that fosters more equitable opportunities for LGBTQ+ individuals in the music industry. When asked how excited Jess is to be performing at Planet Pride, she didnāt hold back.
āI am so excited! Planet Pride celebrates such an amazing community, and I canāt wait to see the energy the crowd brings. New York always brings such great vibes and I think itās going to be a great time,ā Jess shares.
And a lot of that excitement comes from being able to perform with and for her community and bringing the LGBTQ+ community together to celebrate Pride and one another.
āThe LGBTQ+ community is so incredible and I have so much love for the community. Music has always been so powerful and is such a great way to bring people together, this event is just that and I canāt wait to dance with everyone and celebrate PRIDE!ā Jess says.
Although Jess canāt reveal too much about her set for Planet Pride, she does promise itās going to be a fun night for everyone attending.
āI wonāt reveal too much yet but itās going to be such a fun night and I canāt wait to perform some of my new music for everyone. It has been a few years since I performed in the States, and I am super pumped to share what I have been working so hard on with the fans!ā Jess shares.
And for everyone waiting on her new album? Although you may have to wait a little longer for Jessā new album, just know itās going to be a real treat as itās her favorite project to date.
āThe new album is coming soon! Can not wait for everyone to hear what I have been working on. It has been years in the making and one of my favourite projects to date,ā Jess states.
