The DJ/Producer opened up about casual sex and his first gay experience.
Andy Butler, known best for being a member of the EDM collective Hercules and Love Affair, got candid recently with Loverboy about casual sex and some of his early gay experiences - but don't expect to find him on a hookup app. "I don't think half of us are as horny as we think we are. Some people might have that desire for fun, playful sex all the time but I think a lot of us do not," he said. "I went through phases where I used apps but if I was to stop and think, 'What's actually going on in my brain right now?' the immediate thought might be, 'I'm horny,' but underneath it would be, 'I'm anxious,' or 'I'm bored.'"
Though he may be over his sleeping around phase, Butler, who was an honoree in this year's Out 100, has always had a type. "My first gay romantic moment was with a guy that had that 'Right Said Fred' look about him," he said. "I thought, 'I am in love.' I was really turned on by a guy who Bic-ed his head and wore an earring. I was always attracted to those guys in leather pants, see-through tops, shaved heads and earrings." Who doesn't like a guy who's too sexy for his shirt?
