In a season sure to bring plenty of creepy surprises, one of the more subtler ones in the American Horror Story: Freak Show premiere episode this past week was Jessica Lange singing David Bowie's "Life on Mars." Yes, you read that right: It's another anachronistic pleasure pill from Ryan Murphy to have Lange, playing a German expat named Elsa Mars rescuing freaks in 1952 Florida, singing David Bowie's 1971 single.
