Evan Rachel Wood is returning to HBO for a new series produced by J.J. Abrams.
The actress will star alongside Anthony Hopkins in Westworld, inspired by Michael Crichton's 1973 film of the same name. The original film was a Sci-Fi thriller about the dawn of artificial intelligence.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wood will portray Dolores Abernathy, "the quintessential farm girl of the frontier West -- who is about to discover that her entire idyllic existence is an elaborately constructed lie."
The actress first appeared on HBO in a recurring role as vampire Sophie-Anne Leclerq on True Blood. She followed it up with an Emmy-nominated performance in Mildred Pierce.
Wood recently made news when she revealed on Twitter that she was working with Ellen Page on a new film. In the same conversation, the actress also admitted she had a crush on Milla Jovovich.
