Adorable Gay Husbands in New Political Ad

Although one person has commented it looks like it could be a trailer for an as-yet-unmade Wes Anderson movie, we're not going to hold that against Brett Smiley (jokes!). The bespectacled guy is running for mayor of Providence, Rhode Island, and we love that his husband and their marriage make an appearance in the short spot. It makes us smile! (Sorry, we couldn't help it.)

He's not the first LGBT candidate running for political office to create an impressive spot that openly addresses being gay without making a big deal.
