Sky Ferreira Reveals NSFW Album Cover Art

When we named this section "Popnography," we never thoughtthat pop would actually become so... popno.

While the backlash on Miley Cyrus's controversial new image is a never-ending story, her colleague Sky Ferreira is also making headlines for shedding all her clothes to promote her art.

On the cover of her forthcoming album, Night Time, My Time (out October 29), the 21-year-old singer was photographed by the French-Argentine filmmaker Gaspar Noe, another provocateur known for the stirring Irreversible and Enter The Void.

Unlike Miley, Sky didn't bother using invisible tape: She appears completely naked in the shower (a logical decision, if you ask us), revealing one of her nipples in the process.

Ferreira's other job as a model might justify her choice to be nude on her cover art, but in light of her recent antics, which involved an alleged drug bust and the cancellation of her tour with Vampire Weekend, we can't help but wonder if this is another device to create some buzz around the release of her first studio LP, which was repeatedly pushed back by her record label, or a genuine creative statement.
