Get ready to dance! The duo recently unveiled the album's single, "Axis", which led the New York Post to declare "...it sounds like the best clubbing anthem Kraftwerk never wrote." Umm, for once, yeah, we agree with the Post!
Electric features eight brand new PSB songs, plus a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "The Last To Die"--which we've listened to and can tell you is pretty great. The result is as uncompromising a collection of dance albums as Pet Shop Boys have ever made.
Oh, and here's what the Pet Shop Boys said in a statement: "Electric is very much set on the dance floor. Our latest album often evolves as a response to our previous album and, whereas Elysium had a reflective mood, Electric is pretty banging! And working with [producer] Stuart Price on a studio album is something we have wanted to do for a very long time."
They'll be on tour later this month, and here's a complete list of dates.
