Tony Kushner on 'How to Survive a Plague'

How to Survive a Plague is up for an Academy Award for Best Documentary, and now Tony Kushner, who wrote the Oscar-nominated screenplay for Lincoln, calls the documentary "fantastic" and "a brilliant history" and mentions how those times, "which seem very distant now, the country did not face up to its responsibility" and how Angels in America arrived when people started to take stock of that.
