Ke$ha for President!?

Kesha-cr

We'd be drunk, but we'd be equal.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the pop starlet says that if she were POTUS, her platform would include equality for all and a lot of alcohol.

"Sure, I'd be the funnest president ever," she said. "Whiskey for all!"

She goes on to say that if she got the chance to chat with the newly inaugurated President, she'd tell him to look to equal rights as his second term's legacy.

"I would just encourage him to look at equal rights and animal rights," she said. "Those are two things I feel very strongly about. But especially him addressing equal rights today was moving for me. A lot of my friends and family are gay and lesbian, and it's an issue that's very close to my heart. A lot of my fans have to struggle with their own issues, and so did I growing up, and anything you can do to help people look at each other in a nonjudgmental way, I think it's a positive thing."

The 'We R Who We R' singer wrapped up the night by performing at the RIAA's inauguration celebration concert at Washington D.C.'s 9:30 club. She had nothing but love for the President and first lady Michelle Obama during the show.

Of the former, she professed, "I'm looking for a boyfriend or a girlfriend. This next song's about love, so I'm going to dedicate this to Mr. Barack Obama because I love him." She then turned her attention to the ever-fashionable first lady, saying, "She's beautiful. She's so chic. Her outfit, the purple gloves, the bangs. She's a very classy woman."

Ke$ha might be known for perpetually having one-too-many, but it's no surprise she doesn't need social lubricant to honestly dote on our Commander-in-Chief and his lovely wife. The singer was even showing unabashed American pride in her patriotic ensemble, pictured above. The back of her red blazer read, "U$A," maintaining all-business in the front, and party in the back. As if you're surprised.
