From Bridesmaid to Gay Mom

Funny gal Wendi McLendon-Covey may not be a household name--at the moment she's best-known for her work in Bridesmaids--but just wait until she plays what we can only imagine is a sexpot lesbian mama in a story arc on ABC's Modern Family. As Entertainment Weekly reports, she will play one-half of a lesbian couple whose son gets into a fight with Lily on the first day of kindergarten. SNL alum Michaela Watkins will play her partner.

"I can't wait. I go in and film it tomorrow and Wednesday and Thursday," McLendon-Covey tells EW. "It'll be pretty fun."
