In a move that simultaneously puts to rest--and reignites--feud rumors, Madonna premiered a new version of her hit "Express Yourself" that incorporates a verse of Lady Gaga's 2010 hit, "Born This Way" during a recent rehearsal for her new tour (caught on camera in the video below), which launches in Tel Aviv this week.
When it was released in February, Gaga drew the ire of many a critic and fan for the similarities between her hit and the song from Madonna's back catalogue. However, she's stated since that any similarities to the classic were unintentional, saying, "Just became I'm the first fucking artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn't mean I'm a plagiarist, it means that I'm fucking smart. Sorry."
Madonna, who famously labeled the song "reductive" in an interview, also adds a few lines from the Hard Candy number "She's Not Me," declaring at the end of the song that, "She's not me and she never will be."
Madonna is set to begin her MDNA Tour in Israel this Thursday, with the pop star bringing the show to Europe this summer and North America in the fall.
