It looks like Gus Van Sant hasn't lost his eye for handsome guys. They just might not be as young as he once favored.
The director, whose work often features a bevy of budding Adonises (remember River Phoenix in My Own Private Idaho, Michael Pitt in Last Days, and John McFarland in Elephant?), has signed on to direct Promised Land, a Matt Damon and John Krasinski vehicle based on a script by Dave Eggers, according to Deadline.
Reportedly Damon was set to direct the movie--for which he and Krasinski worked on the script--but dropped out due to the scheduling conflicts that come with being a gigantic movie star.
It won't be the first time that Damon and Van Sant have collaborated. The toothsome golden boy famously had his break-out moment in 1997's Good Will Hunting, another Damon-penned, Van Sant-directed flick.
