Looking to amp up your Lady Gaga collection or surprise your favorite Little Monster with something extra special this holiday season?
Vanity Fair is auctioning off a nude portrait of Gaga drawn by--who else?--singer Tony Bennett. All proceeds from the sale of the portrait (which can be bid on here) will benefit Exploring The Arts, a Bennett-helmed non-profit, and the Born This Way Foundation, Gaga's pet charity.
The friendship between the two very different icons was fostered when Gaga recorded "Lady Is A Tramp" for Bennett's new album, and now the two appear together in the January issue of VF. It was during the photo shoot for the magazine, shot by Annie Leibovitz, that Bennett sketched the "Marry The Night" singer in the buff.
"I walked in and said, 'Well Tony, here we are', and I dropped my robe and I got into position," Gaga said during her recent televised Thanksgiving special. "I felt shy and thought, 'It's Tony Bennett, why am I naked?'"
Bennett has said that his subject had no reason to be nervous.
"She is the most beautiful person I ever met," Bennett said, "but there is something special about her."
