First Look: Marina and the Diamonds' "Fear and Loathing"

Marina Lambrini Diamandis (aka Marina and the Diamonds) was one of our favorite artists to show up on our radar last year. Not only is she one of the most beautiful women we've had the pleasure of sitting in a room and chatting with, but she's also incredibly talented and her debut album, The Family Jewels, is filled with the kind of soulful, melodic pop we can't get enough of.

Yesterday a video for a new track, "Fear and Loathing," popped up on Youtube with the following cryptic message:

ELECTRA HEART: THE START
"Fear And Loathing"

Electra Heart embodies the lies, illusions and death of an American Dream.

"Part 1" is called "Fear And Loathing". This includes a preview of an album track, under same title.

"Part 2" will be posted on this same page next Monday at 4pm.

The song is haunting and the video, which features Marina giving herself a bad haircut, is mesmerizing:

If this is a sign of things to come from the Welsh singer, we're going to have a heap of sleepless nights ahead of us until we get our hands on her new album.
