When it came time for the boys of Gomez to begin writing their seventh studio album, they found themselves in what they called "a bit of a long distance writing relationship." With members of the band living all over the world, the guys created an "online hub" for their demos and worked on modifying each other's work until they had created the eclectic collection of songs on Whatever's On Your Mind.
We caught up with Tom Gray, who plays guitar, keyboards, and is one of the band's three vocalists, to chat about the new album, how marketing is ruining the music industry, and more:
