Selected Quotes from Lady Gaga's Second Column in V Magazine

Lady Gaga: pop singer, songwriter, provocateur, fashion icon, fashion faux pas, party monster, Mother monster, entertainer, sex object, anti-sex object. It's all there folks. There is nothing this Lady can't do, and that includes penning a monthly column in V Magazine. Last month's was a lengthy didactic on the meaning of art and a defense of the constant criticism that she is merely a Xerox of those who came before her. This month's article is much more concise, but it's still packed with delectable quotes. Below, find a list of our favorites:

Opening sentence: "Art is a lie. And every day I kill to make it true." -- Well, at least you can't say she isn't a bold wordsmith.

"They call me 'theatrical,' but I posit profusely that I am theatre, and that theatre is me." -- Histronic and self-mythologizing, something we've come to expect from Gaga.

"You must desire the reality of fantasy so profusely that it becomes necessity, not accessory." -- Huh?

"If you were to ask me to remove my Philip Treacy hat at a party, in truth it is the emotional and physical equivalent of requesting I remove my liver. Talk about giving "clutching her pearls" a new meaning!" -- Hyperbole at its finest, but at least she ends it with a self-effacing save.

"You are fan-tas-tic. And this fantasy is part of the real and honest you. It is a lie inside, waiting to be unlocked to become true." -- Oh hell, she may throw some whoppers out there, but at least she remains true to a message of promoting the self-esteem of others. For that? Golf claps.
