We've already heard a handful of tracks from Beyonce's upcoming album, 4, due out on June 28, and so far, we can't seem to get a handle on what exactly is in store for us. We didn't love the muddy first single, "Run The World (Girls)," and "1+1" is pretty but it failed to fully throttle us. After B's last album, I Am...Sasha Fierce delivered tracks like "Single Ladies" and "Halo" and "If I Was A Boy," we expected to be walloped with melodies we wouldn't be able to escape all summer but it just hasn't happened yet.
Until now. "Best Thing I Never Had," the second official single from 4 has just been released, and we finally have a song that feels like a hit. Co-written by music vet Babyface, the song is a mid-tempo kiss off and after just two listens we're already on board:
What do you think? Worthy or worthless?
