Last night in New York the Oscars for websites -- known as the Webby Awards -- were presented to those who have made significant contributions to Internet journalism this past year. Lisa Kudrow was the host, Dan Savage was on hand to accept his award for the marvelous and inspiring "It Gets Better" Project and Daniel Radcliffe presented the People's Voice Award to Anna Wintour for her relaunch of Vogue.com. Perhaps the most jaw-droppingly amazing event, though, was the fact that Wintour actually showed up to accept the award. While Sunday night's Tony Awards saw a bunch of theatre dorks wax poetic about the magic of live performance and laundry lists of people to thank, Anna -- in true diva fashion -- walked out in a killer dress and perfectly groomed and said her thank you in a mere five words: "Sometimes geek can be chic." No word yet as to whether or not she actually believe that.
