It's no secret here that we're absolutely fascinated by the fashion-world darling Daphne Guinness here at Out. It's also no secret that Barneys New York takes the design of their windows very, very seriously. So when we heard the heiress and the retailer were teaming up to present a fierce and fabulous fashion installation piece in honor of the Alexander McQueen exhibit at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, we were more than a little intrigued. What would this all mean?
Well, our friends over at The Look Now (with our girl on the streets reporter Harriet Mays Powell playing host) decided to do a little investigating. What they found was a simultaneously moving and inspiring work of art -- pieces from the designer's illustrious career beautifully displayed to celebrate the genius of one of fashion's most creative minds. Check out the video above.
